Josh works full-time at Now We Collide in Sydney as Editor.
He has been photographing live music since 2011 for several publications, both print and online, but primarily Sydney street press magazine, The Music - formerly Drum Media.
He has been the head of Video and Photography at Moshcam since 2016.
Since 2013 he's been shooting band and artist portraiture for both publications.
Josh is an award-winning director and editor for film and television.
A 2007 graduate of AFTRS, Josh has directed music videos and concert Films for a range of artists including Wu-Tang Clan ( Live at The Sydney Opera House ) Angus & Julia Stone ('Babylon' and 'Just a Boy'), Magnus (‘Forever and Never’), Birds of Tokyo ('Wild Eyed Boy'), Born Lion ( 'Good Dogs Play Dead' ), Panda Bear ( Live at The Sydney Opera House ), The Snowdroppers ('White Dress' and 'Love Letters') and The Rumjacks ('FIstful O' Roses').
In 2008 he won the IF award for Best Music Video and has received nominations for ARIA and J awards.
He has directed music videos for ABC Kids artist, Nay Nay ( Bubble Pop & I Have a Voice ).
In 2016 he won the Best Editing award at Tropfest, for 'Ben's Filming The Movie.'
Josh was an editor at Postbox Sydney where he edited 'Precinct 13' for NBC, 'Top Gear: Australia' for SBS, 'Music Max: Coldplay' for Channel V, 'The Great Australian Doorstep,' for Channel 7, 'The Beer Factor' for Channel Nine and 'On The Edge' for the ABC.
He was story editor on the feature documentary, 'Zach's Ceremony.' http://www.zachsceremony.com/ which premiered at Hot Docs in Toronto in May, 2016.
In 2018 he produced, directed, shot and edited the ANZ Cosplay Battle for Blizzard Entertainment.
Josh has photographed countless local & international bands since 2011, including The Rolling Stones, The Foo Fighters, Madonna, Pearl Jam, Metallica, Radiohead, Elton John, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Queens of the Stone Age, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Nine Inch Nails, Soundgarden and many, many more... he has photographed every major music festival in Australia, traveled to the UK twice ( 2015 and 2017 ) to capture the iconic Glastonbury Festival and the US to shoot Coachella. Besides Drum Media, The Music and Moshcam, Josh's photography has been published in The Herald Sun and The Mercury, as well as Rolling Stone, Empire, FilmInk, and Fangoria Magazines.
In 2013, he won the Nikon NME Photography Award - 'Festival Category.'
In 2018, he won The Music - Live Photo of the Year for his image of St Vincent.
Shooting with models is another passion and Josh is always interested in collaborating on creative, unique and daring ideas outside the conventional - if it's risky, weird or unusual - he'll probably be into it.
Since 2017, Josh has been the co-host of the comedy podcast - The Brown Carpet Podcast.
