The Secret Garden Festival has been running since 2009 and has been growing rapidly ever since. This was my first time there and it completely blew away my preconceptions. It's an two-day camping festival of music, play, creativity and good old fashioned fun. A festival put on by friends, for friends. The festival takes place at a secret location, one hour out of Sydney. It is held amongst the beautiful wilderness, which is transformed into areas bursting with music, creativity, surprises and all kinds of entertainment. That said, nothing could prepare me for the visual and aural feast that lay in wait... The incredible level of detail, creativity and love that has been poured into the art installations and production of the site, coupled with the enthusiasm and effort of the punters to participate in the fancy dress theme make this the Australian festival to photograph. The highlight of this year was Gang of Youths blistering main stage performance on Saturday night. I can't wait till next year to do it all over again...
